parenting hotline

Is there an 800 number, parents can call to questions about parenting?

Hotline I think parents should start a new one. :)

800-825-0060 x106 active parenting adolescents (and others) Dr. Popkin, an authority on parenting. This is not necessarily a line directly, but he responded when I called and helped me once or twice.

A parent who knows how to raise a child is criticized by parents permission?

A few days ago I was in the park eating carrots are galvanized and taking in the beautiful day. There was a boy of about 5 who was throwing sand at other children. The mother approached him and gave him a quick blow with its methods and confronted her. He called a child molester, among others, and even threatened to call child services. Poor woman told them of their own matters and left the park area. So my question … Why are other parents who are permissive and allow children to run like little wild pigs, have the gall of sticking their noses into the affairs of another parent who really knows how to discipline your child.

I came across this quote from Leonard Pitts Jr., and my rings true … I can not say it better, asique ya go: "Something happened to the parents as the work of the generation of World War II to their children, the baby boomers. They are less emphasis on rules and more information about self-esteem. Where previous generations were restrictive, "baby boomers" is permissive. When ordered previous generations, baby boomers negotiated. Mothers and fathers were the parents. The "baby boomers" became playmates co-equal. And we see the fruits of this approach. We see children who are disconnected, discontented, materialistic, filled with the right of bewilderment and sometimes just flat-out bad. I have 2 daughters, one is 2 years old. If you do something wrong – You Bet Your Bottom Dollar, will be punished. Children do not learn through negotiations, young children not an ultimatum, and any argument that shows that there are no consequences for their actions. It's very, very sad. I am a firm believer in applying the "hand of knowledge-based learning. "Parents should make for their children and care enough about them and people who grow into the discipline and teach them that there are consequences for irresponsibility and wrongdoings. AMEN!
