Looking for good books about parenting in general. Want to explore different approaches to parenting, and finally choose a path in the near future. Please, if you've read or heard of a few great books … I have a 4 year old son

Complete baby and childcare books from DK. It's incredible. It's basically everything you could imagine be about child rearing. I also recommend this site: http://raisingchildren.net.au/ covers everything for children 0-8 years old.
