2 years in child care?
Hi! Only recently started day care last week. And 2 years do not use my words carefully, apart from the "daddy" to bottle and "mama" for everything else. Forgot your mom for me (his service provider storage) my husband, my dogs, a stranger in the street, Barney, and any other item that is not even life. I think my question is: Is this normal? I say no, and if not, anyone have suggestions on how I can try to talk more? I try to correct by saying: No Mom, Mom Nicole or not, Barney. Can you say Barney? Should I continue to do that? Should I bring this matter to parents as a potential problem and saw a speech therapist? I guess I'm wondering what you as parents?
It's a bit weird. I'll just say that keeping the right words for things. You do not want to offend parents of this early. If you do not see improvement then I would suggest some type of treatment or at least get her checked out. My son did not really started to talk more about it until about 20 months. If it is now two to give a little time. Perhaps it speaks not at home. Simply repeating a lot of things that helped my son to learn what they were things. I would give it about a month or two, and if no improvement to talk with parents. Good luck.
