When teaching children to read, it shouldn’t be torture. Instead, look for ways to make reading fun! As parents and family members expectantly wait for their child to learn to ready, the pressure can ultimately put a damper on a child’s excitement about reading. Once a child has lost the excitement of reading, the desire may become extinguished. You can help make reading fun for your child, while creating a lifetime love of reading that will stay with your child. Keep reading for ideas on how to actively engage your child in the reading process.

POPCORN READING. Popcorn reading entails having an older reader let the child read the recognized words, and the older reader will read the words causing frustration. This works by using the word “popcorn” to pass off reading to the other reader taking turns reading out loud.

Popcorn Reading – This is a fun way for a child to be able to read the words he/she knows and pass on the words that are causing frustration. While reading a book together, each of you take a turn reading aloud. When the one who is reading says the word “popcorn”, it is the other persons turn to read.

HIGHLIGHT HEAVEN. As long as you own the book, don’t be afraid to mark in it. Using a highlighter to show the words your child reads will make reading fun as your child sees how many words he/she has accomplished. This will boost confidence as your child sees the whole page eventually turn into a big highlighted mark of success.

Highlight Heaven. Grab an older book and a highlighter and have your child highlight every word on the page that he/she can read. After all the words your child knows are highlighted on the page. Now take a moment and have your child look and see how many words that were not hightlighted that he/she can actually read. This is quite a confidence booster.

Flashlight Reading . Before your child is too tired at the end of the day, take some time and read in a dark room. Take a flashlight with you and read the book by flashlight. Little boys especially like this one.

READING CORNER. Designate a special spot in your house as a reading corner. You can have a special rug or pillows in a quiet spot, where your child can “get away” from the activities and simply read. Bean bags are also a great option for reading corners. Decorate it to make it an appealing place for your child to go.

PICTURE DETECTIVE. Have your child become a detective in the story, who tries to guess the next event by looking at the pictures. Read through the story and find out what really happened and how close the pictures were.

POPUP WORDS. This works best for kinesthetic learners (those who learn through touch and feel), but is effective for any child. If your reader has a particular word that keeps giving him trouble, stand up together and sit back down (pop up) every time you read the word. This will let your child associate the word and retain it.

POP UP WORDS. Find a particular word that gives your child trouble, and every time you come across the word in a story “pop up” (stand up together). This will create an association with the word and will help the child remember. This technique works best if your child is a kinesthetic learner – one that learns through touch and feel.

You can make reading fun for you and your child, with these ideas and many others. Invest the time and your child will surprise you by taking off with reading!

Diaper coupons help with the price and requirement of buying diapers for your baby.

Babies have one thing in common; the sweetest aroma ever invented. Unless they are wearing a stinky, dirty diaper.

Naked bottoms are no protection for an infants’ irrepressible output. And nappies are expensive and needed for many, many months of a child’s first few years making them one of the most expensive things about raising a child.

Diaper coupons are available in many different places. Papers, especially the Sunday version, often have diaper coupons printed in the inserts. Stores like Target and Kmart sometimes have store-specific coupons on diapers and other infant items. Magazines committed to parenting and child rearing have coupons galore inserted among their pages. Numerous internet sites offer diaper coupons.

1diapercoupon.com is a specific website that offers discounts on diapers. This website includes offers for many things but top on my list are the Huggies coupons, Pampers coupons, and Luv’s coupons. Coupons for other brands of diapers which start off a little less expensive are offered as well.

Cloth diapers have made a moderate comeback in the new “green” era but most moms still preferthe easy, disposable route for covering their tiny infant’s bottom! And the conveniences of throw away diapers are extensive. Modern moms are constantly on the go all day long and must bring their pooper troopers with them. Cloth diapers don’t work when you are out and about all day long. Not to mention the added work load that comes with just that much more laundry at home. Not to mention, disposable diapers are well, just that, disposable.

In light of the recent finanacialchanges, every penny saved is welcome. A more expensive brand of diaper can be bought for about the same price as a cheaper brand using a diaper coupon. On the other hand, on 1diapercoupon.com, coupons are available for the cheaper brands too.

Diaper Coupons -Save, Save, Save, You Need All You Can

Buying diapers is less costly when you use diaper coupons.

The smell of a baby is one of the sweetest smells on earth. Unless they are wearing a stinky, dirty diaper.

Infants have to have diapers; there’s no way around it. And covering them up is a long, drawn out adventure with a costly price tag as well.

There are countless places to look for diaper coupons. Newspapers, especially the Sunday version, often have diaper coupons included in the inserts. Sometimes sales receipts will have infant item coupons printed on the back that are good if purchased at that store. Parenting and childhood magazines are full of promotions and coupons. The internet is also a good source for diaper coupons.

Numerous websites also offer discounts and promotions like 1diapercoupon.com. Huggies coupons and Pampers coupons are listed there and these are two of my preferred brands. But you will find coupons for other less pricey brands of diapers on this site also.

As the world grows “greener” cloth nappies may seem like the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way to go when it comes to wrapping our infants’ tiny little bottoms but most women prefer the convenience of throw away diapers. And the conveniences of throw away diapers are huge. Baby-in-tow is the norm for moms in today’s busier than ever lifestyle. Lugging around wet, smelly, soiled, nappies is not a hassle many of us are willing to go through.

Or if you really have no choice, 1diapercoupon.com has less expensive brands offered as well.

You will eventually realise the amount of items you will need to acquire a little time into your first pregnancy. The options are daunting, from 20 different types of nappies to glass versus plastic baby bottles.

Many parents spend a huge amount of time trying out baby pushchairs and reading web reviews. The huge amount of options coupled with baby jargon makes the task even more difficult

Where you decide to use your pushchair plays an incredible role in the pushchair you choose. 3 Wheelers are better when you live in more rural areas.

Where do you plan on storing your baby pushchair?

Not all parents have a lot of storage space on the ground floor. They will often have to life baby pushchairs for storage up multiple flights of stairs. Take this into consideration for the sake of your back.

You can save money on buying multiple components of a pushchair, by buying a baby travel system. The car seat is an essential purchase to drive your baby home from the hospital.

For the first seven months, doctors recommend that you keep baby in a laying down position. So your first pushchair seat should convert into a carrycot. Most travel system baby pushchairs will do this, but be sure to check.

A new study has suggested babies grow up less insecure if they are facing you in your pushchair. This is down to preference. Personally, my children have always faced away as there are far more interesting things in the world to look at.

Storage space is a must have if you plan on doing a lot of shopping by foot. Some baby pushchairs have far more than others.

Parents who live in the UK would be wise to invest in a rain cover and umbrella.
